Theresa C. Fultz

Theresa C. Fultz, 90, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2024.

Born in Oswego, she was the first child of Albert Gentile Sr. and Catherine (Maiurano) Gentile and grew up on East Van Buren Street in Oswego.

She attended the Second Ward School, Fitzhugh Park School and then the Oswego High School from which she graduated.

Her education was followed by working at the Lagoe Oswego Corp, Sealright in Fulton and with General Electric at Electronics Park in the earlier days of television manufacturing.

Theresa was married to Thomas Fultz Sr. in Oswego at St. Joseph's Church in March of 1954. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and homemaker as the family moved about over the years and then settled back in Oswego in later years.

She was predeceased by her parents, Albert Sr. and Catherine (Maiurano) Gentile and husband Thomas Fultz Sr., her sister Mary Ann Cathcart, and her two brothers, Albert Jr and Joseph Gentile.

She is survived by a daughter Anne Fultz Oswego, three sons: Thomas Jr. Oswego, Patrick (Betsy) Rochester, Christopher (Corina) Oswego, two sisters, Elizabeth (Paul) Ketchum Fulton, Rosalee Kandt Oswego and three grandchildren, Emily, Jack, and Molly as well as nieces and nephews.

She was an avid reader of a wide variety of subjects, including current events, novels, and various historical accounts. She was a generous benefactor of religious and other charitable organizations. One of her personal favorites was the March of Dimes since its founding because she had been affected by polio in childhood.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 11:00 from Christ the Good Shepard Church in Oswego.
